Attending Simply Sourdough will give you the confidence and skill to start baking sourdough bread at home right away and the knowledge to decipher any sourdough jargon you might come across in future. You will also take home your very own sourdough starter, a loaf ready to be baked at home and enough organic bakers flour and salt to bake another loaf.
The my Heimat Simply Sourdough recipe is the result of years of experimentation and it is simple, yet flexible. The simplicity is reflected in the ‘no knead’ method, allowing you to bake this sourdough loaf in the few moments you have to yourself or accompanied by even the youngest family members. It gives you the flexibility to bake wheat or white loaves, as well as incorporating rye, spelt or wholemeal flours, wholegrains or nuts and seeds.
In as little as ten steps, you will learn how to transform flour, water and salt into a crusty loaf of fresh sourdough bread, that you can bake in a standard oven.

I joined cooking class in Nangara Springs and it has made such difference! Today i baked my first loaf and it turned out awesome better then my trials from the past! I did this course on Monday and made my first loaf yesterday. Course was uncomplicated and very casual. Clear, simple instructions on each step. Sourdough language explained!
I didn’t have all the right breadmaking gear at home (bread tin or Dutch oven) but thanks to Lisi’s explanation of the how’s & whys things were done, I felt confident to improvise. My past attempts at sourdough and bread making had ended in bricks! The sourdough bread I produced yesterday was delicious & I am very happy with the result, making more tonight!
